A man accused of stabbing a pregnant woman four times in her neck and upper body didn't attend his court hearing after he was judged too unfit. Labourer Shahid Mahmood is charged with attempted murder after the woman was found with serious injuries at a house in Crawley last month.
Lewes Crown Court was told the 23 year old woman has since been released from hospital and her pregnancy was unaffected by the injuries.
