We remember him, or some of us do, as the crooner who yodelled his way to the top of the charts in the sixties with songs like "I remember you".
Frank Ifield, who once made a record with the Beatles, is back in the south, touring with his protege Nicki Gillis.
Fred went to meet him at a waterside pub in Abingdon.
