Pompey two weeks from folding

Portsmouth Football Club is on the brink of closing unless senior players accept pay cuts. The club's administrator Trevor Birch has told staff that Pompey will cease to exist from August the 10th - unless remaining senior players are willing to compromise on their current deals.

Pompey need to slash a current wage bill of around 8 milion pounds - in order for a takeover to go ahead.
