Olympic torch grab teen in court
A 17-year-old detained after attempting to grab the Olympic torch as it was carried through Gravesend appeared in court today.
He pleaded guilty to a public order offence as well as assaulting torchbearer Anna Skora and a police officer.
The court heard the attempted grab was a prank which had gone too far.
The youth who can not be named for legal reasons received a four month referral order and was ordered to pay £100 in compensation to each victim, and £85 in costs.
