A man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence in relation to a death at a Sussex care home.
The 28-year-old man was arrested at HMP Dartmoor, where he resides on unrelated matters, today by detectives investigating neglect at Orchid View care home in Copthorne.
He is being interviewed by Sussex officers in Devon and Cornwall force area today.
A Sussex Police investigation was launched last year examining neglect at the care home. The care home has since closed and reopened under a new name and new management.
As a result of the investigation the arrest today has been made. It relates to the death of Jean Halfpenny, 89, in April 2010 who was a resident at the care home.
