A 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man during a confrontation.
Police were called to a property in Roundhill Way, Guildford, Surrey, at around 7.45pm yesterday after reports a man had suffered serious knife wounds.
Emergency teams tried to revive the man but he died at the scene, Surrey Police said. An 18-year-old man was held on suspicion of murder shortly after.
He was first taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford for treatment to a minor injury before being taken into police custody for questioning.
The scene has been taped off while investigators from the Surrey and Sussex major crime team investigate, a police spokesman said. The dead man has not been named.
