A hair fetishist who brutally murdered a mother of two will appeal against his sentence today.
Leading judges will hear the appeal of Danilo Restivo who murdered Heather Barnett in 2002.
Hair fetishist Restivo was given a whole life tariff in June 2011 for the "depraved" and "callous" murder and mutilation of Ms Barnett.
Cut hair from another person was found in Ms Barnett's hand.
The 39-year-old Italian national was found guilty by a jury at Winchester Crown Court in 2002.
