Police are launching a new campaign to crackdown on dangerous drivers after a rise in fatal or serious incidents in July and August.

Five die on the Isle of Wight

Hampshire Police say they will target drivers on the Isle of Wight after five people died in separate incidents on the Island's roads between July and August.

So far this year there has been 102 fewer people killed or seriously injured in Hampshire and Dorset as a result of car accidents.

One of those killed was 10-year-old Evey Staley after an incident on the Cowes Road near Newport.
