A building at a boatyard was badly damaged by a fire on the Isle of Wight last night. Fire crews were called to Odessa Marine on the River Medina in Newport at about 8pm. The single storey building, measuring 30 metres by 30 metres, was said to be well ablaze.
The fire service said it had received at least ten calls from members of the public who saw flames coming from the building's roof. It's not known how the fire started.
