Police are investigating after a number of their marked vehicles were deliberately damaged whilst parked at Police Headquarters in Lewes. In total, six vehicles were tampered with in the last week. All the vehicles were taken in for repair after warning lights were displayed on the dashboard.
Inspector Jonathan Greetham, from the Lewes Neighbourhood Response Team, said: "Fortunately, no-one has been hurt but malicious tampering with any vehicle could have devastating consequences, not only for the driver, their passengers but also members of the public, if an accident were to occur."
