The South's link to what lies beneath
90 years ago this week, the tomb of a boy king was unearthed almost in tact. Inside the tomb of Tutankhamun were treasures from an ancient civilisation.
Two Englishmen were responsible for the discovery - one of them - Lord Carnarvon - whose family still live at Highclere Castle today, mysteriously died before he got see the hundreds of royal objects.
In recent times Highclere Castle is known as the location for ITV's Downton Abbey - the period drama has very much become the castle's future - but we shouldn't forget the incredible past that lies beneath.
Don't miss Meridian Tonight at 6pm tonight, when Divya Kohli explores our links to ancient Egyptian treasures.
