A 28 year old man has been critically injured during an assault outside a pub in Canterbury in Kent.
It happened outside the Thomas Ingoldsby public house in Burgate at 12.10am on Saturday morning.
Officers called to the scene found the Canterbury man semi-conscious after he received a blow to the back of his head. He was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate but transferred later to Kings College Hospital where his condition is critical.
Witnesses described seeing two men leaving the scene and later a 22-year-old man and 23-year-old man, both from Canterbury, were arrested. They are currently in custody.
