Oxfordshire County Council is warning home owners to take action to protect their property from flooding.
The council says that it is possible that some householders will be advised to leave their homes in the next 24 hours.
If this happens, rest centres will be set up nearby to accommodate people who have been advised to leave their homes.
Residents will be told the location of the rest centre at the time they are advised to leave their homes and offered help if necessary.
