The Hampshire lollipop man who died after he was hit by a car, had escorted aparent across the road to pick their child up from school. Raymond Elsmore, 82, who had worked for about 10 years helping children at Queens Inclosure Primary School, Waterlooville, suffered serious injuries.
Mr Elsmore, who was wearing his uniform and carrying his lollipop, was hit by asilver Nissan Micra car as he crossed Tempest Avenue having just escorted aparent across the road.
