A female soldier from Banbury has been honoured for her bravery in Afghanistan at the Sun Military Awards.
Lance Corporal Hayley Ridgeway, 24, of 1 Rifles, gave life-saving first aid when a bomb ripped through her patrol despite her knees being hit by seven ball bearings.
