The British Geological Survey has issued a landslide and rockfall warning for South West England, which includes Dorset. There are concerns about the stability of cliff edges and sides affecting the South West Coast Path after the recent heavy rain. More rain is forecast for this afternoon.
The Environment Agency and the Met Office are issuing bulletins about this afternoon's weather - Dorset will bear the brunt of the downpour. The British Geological Society is sending information about the coastal path to the Met Office Hazard Warning Centre in Exeter.
The South West Coast Path runs from Minehead in Somerset to the shores o Poole Harbour.
