Police are hunting a "Bad Samaritan" who stole a car crash victim's handbag
as she lay injured in the street. The 30-year-old local woman was crossing Kings Road on Brighton seafront when she was struck by a taxi on December 22. end
Passers-by quickly gathered round to help, but, as she was being taken to an ambulance, somebody took her handbag from the pavement.
The woman suffered cuts and bruising but was later discharged from the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Three men in the taxi were slightly hurt.
This was a really low theft, and we are hoping that other people who were present will be able to give us some information about who took the bag.
