A man and a teenage boy have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 28 year old Gillingham man was admitted to the Medway Maritime Hospital with a suspected stab wound to his left thigh.
The arrested men are a 17 year old from the Rochester area and a 20 year old from Gillingham. Police were called to Windmill Road, Gillingham, at about 2.50am on New Year’s Day following an alleged assault by a group of around seven people.
Two men were arrested nearby as paramedics attended to the injured man. The victim remains in a stable but life threatening condition.
