A 53 year old man from Wiltshire is recovering in hospital following an accident on the A339 between Basingstoke and Newbury. Police say his injuries are not life threatening.
The road was closed for much of the day after an articulated lorry overturned near the Star Inn pub at Kingsclere. It is expected to remain closed during the evening rush hour. It closed at 0940 this morning causing severe delays. Police are warning of major congestion.
Latest estimates of clearing the debris are for the road to open again during the early evening but it could be closed for several more hours. Police had hoped the road would open in time for the busy rush hour.
