Former Kent police officer Ivan Esack found guilty of murdering his wife Natalie.
He stabbed her to death in a hair salon in front of shocked onlookers in Ashford in Kent.
He had admitted manslaughter but denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
Maidstone Crown Court heard how Esack stabbed the 33-year-old up to 11 times with such ferocity that the blade bent and the tip broke off.
The court had heard he could not deal with her starting another relationship after they had separated.
After weeks of trying to turn things around, HMV will appoint administrators Deloitte, tomorrow morning.
A former policeman found guilty of murdering his wife at her hair salon has been sentenced to life in jail with a minimum term of 28 years.
