A healthcare worker has been arrested on suspicion of raping a hospital patient.
A 29-year-old man was detained following a complaint by a woman in her 20s at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, West Sussex.
The suspect from Chichester was arrested at around 9pm on Thursday evening and has been suspended from work.
He remains in custody where he is being interviewed, police said.
Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust said: "The Trust is cooperating fully with the police enquiry but is unable to make any further comment while the investigation is ongoing."
