Thieves have stolen a valuable signed boxing print from a charity store that was preparing to auction it for charity.
Sports Dreams in George Street, Hove, was burgled between 8.15pm Sunday and 12.30pm Monday.
PC Jon Mills said: "The print was being saved for a special fundraising auction and everyone is gutted as they were hoping to raise around £3,000 for charity.
"As nothing else in the store was taken we therefore believe the shop was broken into with the soul purpose of taking this particular print."
The limited edition coloured print, number 29 of 50, features a close up of Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier taken from a photo to promote their famous "Thrilla in Manila" fight in the Philippines in 1975.
Assistant Manager of Sports Dreams, Daniel Grant, said: "The print is two foot square and was on display in the store for many months. It was our star attraction and we are devastated that it is gone. Please get in touch with the police if you know its whereabouts, we really want it back."
Police are asking anyone with information to call 101 quoting serial 0241 of 14/1 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
