A 26-year-old woman has died after her car left the road and hit a tree. Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after the fatal collision in Oxford this morning.
At around 12.55am a blue Volkswagen Golf was travelling along the A40 Northern Bypass towards the Green Road roundabout from the Banbury Road direction when it left road. The driver, a 26-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
It appears at this stage that this was the only vehicle involved in the incident but there were other motorists around at the time. I urge anyone who may have seen what happened, or the vehicle prior to the incident, to contact the police.”
Police are asking anyone who saw the collision, saw the vehicle after it, or knows of any car which has sustained serious damage to contact Sgt Scott Silk via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre in 101. They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
