Driver robbed at knifepoint in lay-by

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorist was threatened and robbed at knife-point by a after pulling into a lay-by on the A2 coastbound near Canterbury.

The incident happened at about 9.30am on 10th January.

The 43-year-old motorist had pulled in just after the Harbledown junction to take something from the boot of his car. A motorbike pulled in about 8 feet behind him and the rider approached pretending to want directions. The biker stole the driver's mobile telephone and sat nav before riding off.

The offender had an Eastern European accent, was about 6ft tall, and was wearing a red motorcycle helmet, black leather jacket, dark blue jeans and black trainers. The bike was red and covered in mud.
