A collection of giant clams, which were seized by customs officials, has gone on display at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Hastings.
The southern giant clams were part of a large consignment which was intercepted and confiscated after they were illegally imported in to the country.
They were initially transferred to ZSL London Zoo where aquarists have been looking after them since their seizure.
After spending time in the aquarium’s quarantine, the fist-sized shellfish have gone on display in the aquarium’s tropical coral reefs area.
