A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the River Cole and Dorcan Brook.Flooding is possible for the East Swindon area down to Buscot Wick. Low lying land and roads will be affected first, the agency says.
The River Cole has risen overnight in response to yesterday's rainfall. Although the river is currently high, levels are falling and will continue to do so for the rest of today. No property flooding is expected.
"The weather is to expect a relatively dry and cold day today with only scattered light showers that may fall as sleet or snow at times."
