Plans for solar farm at Fareham withdrawn

A planning application to build a solar farm on land between Fareham and Stubbington in Hampshire has been withdrawn.

Fareham Borough Council said Vogt Solar's proposal to build solar panels, fencing, landscaping and two transformer buildings on 143 acres of land has been withdrawn by the firm. The project would have included provision of community green space for recreational use.

"We have just been made aware of the withdrawal. This means that the Planning Committee Special Meeting due to take place on Thursday 14 February has been cancelled.”

– Councillor Nick Walker, Chairman of the Planning Committee
