Homeless man killed in a "vicious and sustained attack"

A homeless man found murdered in Sussex - had been trying to get off the streets and find somewhere safe to live.

Police have named the victim as Lee Williams. They say the 45-year-old from Hastings, who was a father-of-three, was killed in a "vicious and sustained attack". His body was found in a makeshift shelter in Hove. Malcolm Shaw reports.

A police cordon along will remain around the crime scene in Hove pitch and putt for the next few days whilst extensive forensic examinations continue following the murder of a man in his mid 40s.
