Police officers from the Operation Fortress team are appealing for help in identifying two people who may be vital witnesses to a robbery.

Police officers from the Operation Fortress team are appealing for help in identifying two people who may be vital witnesses to a robbery. The robbery happened on Thursday, December 5 in the Brintons Road area of Southampton when a man was assaulted outside his home address and had things stolen.

Officers have made enquiries and a number of items stolen in the robbery have been recovered and as part of the investigation £11,000 worth of class ‘A’ drugs were recovered from a room at the Ibis Hotel in the city centre off West Quay Road.

The Operation Fortress Team is releasing pictures of a man and woman who are sought to help with enquiries. The pair are seen on CCTV entering the hotel just before 8.15pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who recognises the pair and may know who they are. Anyone with information is asked to contact Operation Fortress on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Three men have been charged with robbery and possession of class 'A' drugs with intent to supply in connection with the investigation into the robbery.
