The deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has admitted work still needs to be done in Eastleigh to ensure his party wins Thursday's by-election.
Mr Clegg is under extra pressure after it emerged he knew about complaints made about his party's former chief executive, Lord Rennard. But he says despite his party trailing in the opinion polls - there are differences between the Lib Dems and Tories that mean his party can retain Eastleigh.
