Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a nightclub in Basingstoke.
Police say two men walked into Wonderland, off Churchill Way, shortly after 1pm yesterday.
They then threatened a member of staff with what is believed to be a handgun, tied him up and stole a significant amount of cash.
The two men, described as white, their faces covered, then left the club and made off towards Church Street. The member of staff was not injured.
This happened in broad daylight in a busy thoroughfare in Basingstoke.
“Were you driving between Eastrop Roundabout and Victory Roundabout at that time?
“We are very keen to speak to two pedestrians who separately crossed over Churchill Way from the bus station side of the road towards the Wonderland side of the road, shortly after 1pm. They may have information which could help this investigation.
“We are also keen to speak to the driver of a red car who turned left into an underground parking area located just after Wonderland, around the time of this incident.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call Basingstoke CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where information can be left anonymously.
