Detectives are appealing for more information as an investigation continues into a burglary in Southsea. A man, aged 81, living in the Elm Grove area was visited by someone he did not know. This visitor, a man, claimed to be a gold buyer.
The unknown man said he had come to collect a ‘cash for gold’ leaflet, which had been put through the door earlier the same day. When the 81-year-old opened the door, the visitor walked into the address uninvited and stole jewellery.
