We are conducting enquiries into whether any other local residents have had any suspicious callers within the past two weeks. Specifically we would be interested in anyone trying to buy or sell antiques or gold. Officers are also trying to trace any leaflets that may have been dropped through other letter boxes advertising ‘cash for gold’ type sales. We would be especially interested if anyone still had one of these leaflets at home.
Anyone with information is asked to contact CID at Fratton Police Station by phoning 101. Mini-com users can phone 01962 875000. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
