"Fly boarder" Dave Thompson was performing tricks at Brighton Pier yesterday.
The new machines allow jet skis to be transformed into water powered jet packs - allowing flights of up to 12m in height.
Mr Thompson said: "To fly around Brighton Pier was fantastic. It was very safe and well controlled and the look of all those smiling faces on the family’s and kids on the pier was worth the cold."
