Road users are advised that the southbound A3 is closed near Esher, Surrey, following a serious accident and is likely to remain closed for some time. The incident this morning is currently being investigated by Surrey Police and as a result the road is closed between the A309 and the A244.
The Highways Agency is working to reopen the carriageway as soon as possible - however the closure may last into this evening’s peak period. Road users may consider using the A309, A307 and A244.
