The man accused of causing the death of Dorset teenager Jade Clark has appeared in court via videolink. Brian Hampton, a 58-year-old man from Ashford in Kent, has been charged with causing death by careless driving, failing to stop and driving while disqualified.
He was asked for a plea on the charge of causing death by careless driving. He pleaded not guilty. He will appear at in court in a few weeks' time for the case to be committed to Crown Court.
