A couple killed in a road traffic collision on the A228 in Hoo have been described as ‘fantastic parents’ by their family. Tom Gregory and his partner Lindsay Slater from Frindsbury, died following a collision Saturday, 6 April, on the medway-bound carriageway of the Ratcliffe Highway.
Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the collision after it was reported the silver Peugeot left the road for reasons not yet known and came to rest in a nearby field after colliding with a road sign.
Lindsay was pronounced dead at the scene while Tom was airlifted to a London hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The couple’s two daughters, Hollie (4) and Mae (7), were also in the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. They were taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital by land ambulance and are now being cared for by relatives.
A tribute from the family read: ‘Tom and Lindsay will always be remembered by their family and friends as fantastic parents to two beautiful little girls. They were a really close couple that will leave huge holes in all our lives.
‘We would like to thank all those that have been in contact, offering messages of condolence; it’s greatly appreciated during this difficult time.’
