Council's attempt to plug hole in school places

Parents in Reading have been assured that, despite a shortage of primary school places, there will be enough for September. The Borough Council says because of an increasing birth rate, there will be a problem for 2014 unless action is taken.

The authority says it's looking at measures including school expansions. A detailed report will be delivered to it's Cabinet on Monday.
