Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen a collision, or the moments leading up to it, involving a motorcycle on the M20 coastbound near junction 6 at 7pm on Friday night.
A 44-year-old man from Maidstone died after his Suzuki 600cc appeared to have lost control whilst he was riding in a dedicated feeder lane, and left the carriageway, crashing into the metal barrier. The rider was thrown from his bike and struck a lamp post. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was returning from Surrey at the time of the collision. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating. Witnesses are asked to make contact with either PC Woodhams or PC Russell-Thomas on 01622 798 538.
