Two men have been given three-year Football Banning Orders after taking part in a pitch invasion during a game between Gillingham and Accrington Stanley last month.

Ryan Kelly, 27, of Trafalgar Street in Gillingham and Leon Cooper, 27, of Linden Road in Gillingham were arrested and charged with Section 4 of the Football Offences Act.

The court heard that Kelly and Cooper ran onto the pitch and slid on their knees in front of the goal.

They are now banned from attending any football match in England and Wales and overseas for the next three years.
