Although the weather forecast was for mixed, unsettled weather, the Action DIVA charity bike ride in Sussex got off to a good start. Television presenter Davina McCall waved off some of the five hundred women taking part in the ride to raise money for Action Medical Research for children.
The bike ride started at 7am on Saturday 11th May and ends at 6pm on the same day. Participants are cycling a variety of distances including a 21-mile route, 40-mile route and a tougher 65-mile route.
The Action Medical Research for children charity funds medical research to help stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability.
