Detectives from Hampshire Constabulary’s Major Investigation Team are continuing to question a 39-year-old man on suspicion of murder in Portsmouth. Extra time has been granted by a senior police officer for the suspect to remain in custody for interviewing until later this morning.
The 39-year-old from Hampshire was arrested on Saturday afternoon shortly after police were called at 4.55pm to a report of a man’s body inside an address on Seagrove Road in North End. A 31-year-old man was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene.
