The family of 18-year-old Shaya Rae Leigh, who was killed when the car she was driving left the road and went down an embankment, has paid tribute. Shaya died alongside Kerry Staniford, who was 17.
They were travelling on the northbound carriageway of the A419 near the A420 White Hart junction, when the Renault Clio left the road and ended up down a bank in undergrowth.
“Our hearts go out to all families involved in this tragic event. Shaya was a granddaughter, daughter, sister, cousin and niece, but above all she was our friend. We are heartbroken and are finding it hard to believe we will never see her smile or hear her laughter again. Forever in our hearts. The FamiLeigh”.
