Man in hospital after car collides with pub fence

A 22-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving collided with the fencing of a pub in Henfield near Brighton.

The incident happened on the A281 junction with Muddleswood Road in Albourne on Saturday 25th May 2013. Sussex Police and West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called to the Ginger Fox pub at 6.35am. Officers are appealing for witnesses.

"The road was closed for several hours whilst forensic investigators carried out work at the scene and the driver was medically removed from the car.

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police to please call 101 quoting Op Maine or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk."
