Detectives investigating the discovery of a woman's body in a field in Arborfield yesterday afternoon, have arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
The man, who was living at an address in the local area, remains in police custody.
Extensive enquiries are now under way to establish how the woman died and a post-mortem examination will now be carried out by a Home Office pathologist. The woman has not been formally identified, but we are keeping the family of the missing woman updated on any developments and they are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
