Thames Valley Police have revealed the results of a post mortem examination on a body found in a field in Arborfield, Berkshire on the afternoon of Monday 3rd June 2013.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, police say it is believed that the body is that of 39-year-old Krishnamaya Mabo, a Nepalese woman who had been reported missing earlier that day.
A Home Office pathologist who carried out a post mortem examination at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Tuesday 4th June 2013 said the cause of death was asphyxiation.
The investigation by Thames Valley Police continues. A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
