Council uses sniffer dogs to search for illegal cigarettes

A council in Kent is using sniffer dogs to search for illegal cigarettes. Medway Council is believed to be one of the first in the country to use the measure.

Last week it was revealed that the five Medway towns - Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Strood and Rainham - had the highest level of illegal tobacco sales in Britain.

ITV Meridian Presenter Sangeeta Bhabra, interviewed Ian Gilmore from Medway Council's trading standards department.
