Kent Police attended to a fire in Richmond Street in Sheerness today. They say it's been reported that two people jumped from the top storey of the building. Three others escaped the fire and a man was rescued by firefighters using a ladder.
At the back of the building members of the public saved a woman and two children with a ladder.
Neighbouring properties in Marine Parade have also been evacuated.
Three people have so far been taken to hospital - two to London hospitals by air ambulance with possible life threatening injuries.The roads around the incident are closed and people are being asked to avoid the area.
