Care Home criticised for 'appalling' standards

More than sixty infirm and frail residents are still waiting to be moved out of a care home in Crawley after a catalogue of appalling neglect was revealed.

A report out today by the Care and Quality Commission found that residents' calls for help at Oakhurst Grange were ignored. They were left lying in their own waste and dentures weren't cleaned for days on end. Earlier this month BUPA announced it was closing down the home.
