More than two thousand jobs are set to be created as part of plans to expand a shopping centre in Kent.

The proposal to increase Bluewater's capacity by twenty per cent was approved by Dartford council, but contested by neighbouring council Gravesham, who asked the government to intervene because they feared it will put retailers off coming to a new shopping quarter in Gravesend.

But now the government has confirmed that it won't be challenging Dartford Council's decision to grant planning permission.
